Welcome to our Pine Meadows Ward Provident Living Blog!

Welcome to our new provident living blog! I am so excited to get the blog rolling and to collaborate and share ideas with all of you. As mothers we are daily reminded of the physical stresses that encompass our lives. The price of gas, the ever increasing and never decreasing expense of groceries, the countless times we worry about little things, like taking the kids to the doctor or how to financially get through the week, and big things, like disasters and job security. And it doesn't just end with physical stresses, we are also constantly concerned about the spiritual welfare of our children and the welfare of others we love too, in this growing world of technology, unsurety, and unrest.

As an army wife and mother whose husband is currently deployed,  I am constantly reminded that I am solely responsible for the care of my family in the event of an emergency. Now, I am not an expert in shopping, cooking, gardening, or food storage and emergency preparedness, but I am passionate about learning and organizing (this does not mean that my house is organized!!!), and this is what this site is intended to be; to help organize ourselves, our families, our Ward, and our Community, in the event of any unfortunate circumstance, that we might be learned and taught in every needful thing to strengthen our ability as caretakers and caregivers to those we love.

This is not an official Web site of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. However, we would like this blog to be a gathering place for our Ward family in our efforts in teaching and sharing ideas and suggestions. We also would like others to visit and increase awareness worldwide of the importance of "preparing every needful thing" so that we might encourage and motivate others to become passionate about preparedness as well. So please invite friends and family and please share with us your uplifting thoughts, ideas, and comments. We love hearing from everybody and your comments will post as soon as I have the opportunity to preview them.
